This officially Tezuka Productions-licensed collectible lets you build Astro Boy™ as a striking fusion of anime icon and exposed machine. His familiar silhouette, distinctive hair, expressive face and red boots meet transparent outer panels that open the view deep into his body. Inside, gears, technical assemblies and colourful accents create a complete mechanical anatomy. A stylised heart or reactor module sits at the centre, capturing Astro Boy’s enduring balance between emotion and technology. Created as a 70th-anniversary model, the figure connects manga nostalgia with a modern, almost museum-like presentation. Displayed on its dedicated base, it rewards close inspection from every angle.

The build begins with the densely layered inner structure before the clear panels and recognisable outer features complete the character. Its 1,250 pieces form compact subassemblies, intricate technical detailing and a stable body with more than ten articulated joints. You can adjust the head, arms and legs for a range of standing and action poses, while the base supports the model at approximately 32 to 34 centimetres tall. Sections of the chest can be opened or removed to reveal the mechanical heart and surrounding components more clearly. Sideways building techniques and carefully layered sections make the process feel like engineering a robot from the inside out.
