Neon nights above the arcade

Signs flicker through the darkness while an entire gaming world rises behind the façade, stacked across several floors. The Retro Arcade provides a nostalgic starting point before the action moves upward to the VR Battle Pod and the mysterious Neuro Pod. At the top, the Final Stage and Mega Prize Core create a dramatic climax for the night’s competition. More than 20 integrated light points wash the machines, interiors and exterior displays in vivid neon colour. Transparent elements carry the glow across dark walls and densely layered technological details. By day it resembles a tightly packed building from the future; after dark, it becomes a cinematic cyberpunk scene.

The 2,580-piece build takes roughly eight to twelve hours, depending on your experience and pace. Sideways building, SNOT techniques and intricate greebling give the exterior its layered, technology-heavy character. Inside, compact assemblies form arcade cabinets, consoles, seats and other pieces of gaming equipment. The wiring adds a technical challenge as each cable is routed through narrow channels and concealed beneath plates during construction. Removable levels and moving doors, hatches and panels then reveal the individual gaming zones.

This advanced project is aimed primarily at adult cyberpunk, gaming and science-fiction fans, as well as experienced builders aged 16 and over. At around 44 cm tall, the finished model has a commanding shelf presence without demanding an excessively wide display area. Three minifigures and a separately built robot populate the arcade, creating small scenes between nostalgic machines and futuristic pods. Display atmosphere is the clear priority, but the detailed interior still gives you plenty of scope to stage your own late-night arcade story.
