A guiding light above the waves

As morning breaks over the rugged shore, the lighthouse guides the way through the fading darkness. Its pale tower rises from a richly shaped rocky base beside the welcoming keeper’s cottage. Warm light shines from the house while the illuminated lantern crowns the coastal scene. Three minifigures bring life to the setting, turning the architectural model into a stage for travellers and lighthouse keepers. As part of the Road Trip series, the set captures the kind of quiet destination that makes you want to pause and take in the view. On display, it becomes a calm maritime centrepiece with intricate details by day and an entirely different presence after dark.

The build begins on a 32 × 32-stud footprint and combines layered rockwork with traditional architectural construction. Its 1,632 pieces form the keeper’s cottage, the slender tower and the elevated lantern, taking the finished model to roughly 39 centimetres in height. Slopes, plates and small texture elements create an irregular shoreline rather than a flat geometric base. A rotating LED beacon completes the tower, while a second illuminated area gives the cottage a warm interior glow. The integrated lighting system is powered through USB-C, making cable routing part of the building experience.

This substantial project is aimed primarily at adult fans of architecture, landscapes and atmospheric display models. More than twenty printed elements add crisp decorative detail throughout, with no stickers required. The three minifigures and a tool accessory still leave room for small stories within the peaceful coastal setting. Its compact footprint and strong vertical silhouette make it easy to place on a shelf, sideboard or inside a display cabinet. In the evening, the rocks, cottage and guiding beacon come together as an evocative maritime scene.
