Battleship Gneisenau.
Naval history on a grand scale
This model brings the unmistakable silhouette of Gneisenau into your collection, inviting you to explore a real Second World War battleship through hands-on model building. Its long, narrow hull, tiered superstructure and heavy armament create a restrained technical presence that suits the historical subject. Numerous guns, lifeboats, vents and carefully layered deck sections reward close inspection from every angle. A subdued palette of greys and black keeps the focus on contours, proportions and mechanical structures. Built at 1:300 scale, the finished ship stretches to approximately 81 cm and becomes a commanding centrepiece in a naval display. This is not a conventional play ship, but a substantial display model for builders who appreciate maritime history and focused projects.
The 2,417 pieces form a solid hull with an internal structure designed to support the model across its considerable length. Large plates, slopes and dedicated bow and stern elements gradually transform the load-bearing core into densely equipped decks. The bridge, mast, anti-aircraft positions and numerous small fittings bring welcome variety to the build. The main turrets rotate, while adjustable gun barrels let you create different display poses. A total of 33 printed elements add markings and fine accents without requiring stickers.
Gneisenau is aimed at experienced builders, enthusiasts of historical warships and collectors of large-scale models. Its included display stand shows off the ship's streamlined profile, whether it stands alone or alongside other vessels from the Historical Collection. Minifigures and playable interiors are not the focus; instead, the design concentrates on scale, silhouette and exterior engineering details. The result is a serious and impressive exhibit that encourages a considered look at naval engineering and military history.
