Roman Auxilia.

Guardians of Rome’s Distant Frontier

At the edge of the empire, three auxiliary soldiers scan the land beyond Rome’s frontier. Their helmets, armour, shields and weapons create a compact scene rooted in the ancient world. A horse adds a mounted element and brings movement to patrols, camps and marching columns. Historically, the auxilia were recruited from the provinces and supported the legions with specialised skills. This set captures that role in a playable, history-inspired vignette. Display the unit on its own or connect its story with other Imperium Romanum models.

The build centres on three distinct soldiers and their military equipment. Printed faces, armour details and shield designs shape their appearance without requiring stickers. The 45 building blocks form a small terrain base where the figures and ready-made horse can be arranged in different positions. Articulated arms, legs and heads support guard, marching and battle poses, while the weapons and shields fit into the figures’ hands. The accessible build offers a quick introduction and provides useful scenery for larger ancient-world dioramas.

This compact set suits young history enthusiasts as well as collectors expanding a Roman display. Three soldiers and one horse create a clearly readable scene without demanding much shelf space.
