Low over the landscape, wings swept back and two crew members beneath the canopy: this model brings the unmistakable silhouette of the Panavia Tornado IDS to your collection. The real aircraft emerged from a British-German-Italian programme and served as a defining Luftwaffe combat jet from the 1980s onward. Its grey camouflage, German military insignia and numerous technical markings are printed directly onto the parts. Built at 1:48 scale, it combines convincing proportions with a practical footprint for a shelf, desk or display cabinet. The 493-piece build produces a 36-centimetre-long jet whose purposeful lines capture the character of the original. The variable-sweep wings are the centrepiece of the build, allowing you to recreate different flight configurations by moving both sides. A solid internal structure gradually ties together the wing mechanism, undercarriage mounts and shaped outer fuselage. Specialised elements recreate the nose, air intakes, exhaust area and tail with recognisable contours. External stores and small surface details complete the jet's densely engineered appearance.

The finished aircraft combines the presence of a scale collectible with the hands-on features of a playable model. Two printed Luftwaffe crew figures can take their places in the cockpit and bring take-off, landing or maintenance scenes to life. Moving wings, rolling landing gear and a sturdy construction invite older builders to handle the jet, while aviation enthusiasts can appreciate its national markings and fully printed finish. Its balanced dimensions make it equally suited to a standalone display or a larger airfield and military collection.
