As the sun drops behind the prairie, this Western freight train comes alive with warmly lit windows and lanterns. A classic steam locomotive with a tall smokestack, bold cowcatcher and long boiler pulls a varied consist through your own frontier world. The 1,524-piece build begins with the detailed locomotive before moving on to the freight cars, cargo and track. Curved elements, sideways construction and SNOT techniques shape the rounded boiler, layered front and assortment of pipes, valves, handles and lanterns. A furnished cab gives the crew a convincing workspace, while accessible car sections leave room for cargo and your own stories. The included LED system is routed through the locomotive and cars as you build, making careful cable management one of the project's more technical challenges. Rolling wheels and couplings connect the entire consist into a movable train that can be pushed manually along the supplied track.

This set is aimed primarily at adult railway and Western enthusiasts who enjoy a substantial build combining engineering and decorative detail. Every graphic element is printed, reinforcing the weathered timber, cargo and railroad aesthetic without requiring added decoration. Six articulated Western figures bring the cab and freight cars to life, turning the finished model into a stage for robberies, loading scenes or journeys after dark.
