Opel Manta A GT/E 1974.

A cult coupé returns

Open roads, warm evening light and the unmistakable presence of a German sports coupé: this model brings the motoring spirit of the seventies straight to your shelf. The officially licensed 1974 Opel Manta A GT/E captures the long bonnet, flowing roofline and distinctive rear of the original. Contrasting stripes, emblems and carefully shaped bodywork make the sporting GT/E version instantly recognisable. Built at an impressive 1:12 scale, the coupé commands attention without losing the crisp, angular character of the historic car. Across 1,938 pieces, you recreate an icon that became closely associated with German road and tuning culture.

The build starts with a solid vehicle structure before the bodywork, cabin and defining contours gradually come together. Large shaped elements create clean surfaces, while smaller pieces form the grille, lights, trim and sharp body lines. Around 60 printed elements reproduce the badges, lettering, number plates and decorative stripes with lasting precision. Opening doors reveal a fully developed cabin complete with seats, dashboard, steering wheel and gear lever. Rolling wheels add a satisfying mechanical feature and encourage you to explore the completed model from every angle.

At 37 centimetres long, the finished coupé makes a confident display piece for a cabinet, sideboard or collection of classic cars. Its substantial, clearly structured build is suited to experienced younger builders as well as adult car and brick enthusiasts. Opel fans and collectors of historic road vehicles will find plenty of details that evoke the personality of the original. The result is an expressive display model with hands-on features and a generous dose of seventies nostalgia.

About the manufacturer

COBI.

Building with history, technology and character

COBI is the largest building brick manufacturer in Central and Eastern Europe. Based in Poland, it has a clear mission: to create high-quality building sets that combine a passion for technology, historical learning and creative play. Every set is made exclusively in the EU using rigorously tested materials.

COBI specialises in collector’s models with character: military history models, modern classics at 1:35 scale, licensed vehicles and aircraft, as well as interactive technology sets. The extensive Historical Collection is especially popular, featuring faithfully detailed tanks, aircraft, ships and vehicles from the First and Second World Wars. Moving parts, durable prints instead of stickers and authentic scales make these models a highlight for collectors and grown-up builders.

Everything is manufactured at COBI’s own factory in Mielec, Poland, using materials of European origin, in accordance with strict EU regulations and with continuous quality testing, including inspections by TÜV Rheinland. COBI also works with renowned brands such as Jeep®, Škoda®, Maserati®, Boeing® and Dassault Aviation, as well as Wargaming.net (World of Tanks and World of Warships). Thanks to the included statistics cards, many sets can even be used as compact strategy games.

COBI is therefore aimed not only at children, but also at adults, technology enthusiasts, history fans and model builders. If you are looking for something special beyond the familiar brands, you will find it here: robust quality, fascinating themes, authentic scales and durable prints, all developed and manufactured in Europe.
