Where the neon city awakens

Beneath flickering signs, paper lanterns and tightly packed food stalls, a futuristic izakaya opens for the night. Humans, robots and cyborgs gather here for ramen, grilled squid and a late drink. Warm light from the bar plays against the vivid colours of the technological façade, turning the building into a bustling street scene after dark. A ramen shop, squid grill and layers of Japanese-inspired signage create an entire entertainment district within a compact footprint. Around twenty integrated LEDs illuminate the interiors, lanterns and billboards, while visible cables deliberately reinforce the cyberpunk aesthetic. Instead of a quiet city block, you build a lively meeting place from a future where tradition and technology share the same street.

The 1,987 pieces form a multi-storey modular building with fully furnished interiors and a finished height of 38.6 centimetres. Removable floors let you explore the bar, kitchen, seating areas, service counters and compact technical rooms above. Opening doors and windows connect the façade to the street, while stools, bottles, cups, cooking equipment and dishes fill the venue with convincing detail. Modern sideways building techniques shape the rooftop structure, oversized mascot and densely layered advertising signs. The lighting is woven into the architecture as you build and can connect with other buildings in the series to create a shared, illuminated cityscape.

This model is designed primarily for adult builders who enjoy atmospheric architecture, intricate details and dramatic shelf lighting. Six figures populate the scene as three humans and three robots or cyborgs, including a chef, customers and futuristic service staff. Every sign, character tile and control panel is printed, helping the many visual layers feel like a coherent part of the building. The izakaya works as a striking standalone display, while its accessible rooms and modular construction provide plenty of scope for storytelling in a larger brick-built city.
