Two ships, one historic legacy

This Pennsylvania-class battleship brings a defining chapter of US naval history to your collection. You choose whether the finished model represents USS Arizona BB-39 or USS Pennsylvania BB-38, two sister ships whose wartime stories followed very different paths. Arizona is inseparable from the attack on Pearl Harbor, while Pennsylvania was repaired and later returned to operations in the Pacific. The long grey hull, contrasting deck and tiered superstructure capture the weighty, technical profile of these capital ships. Throughout, the model treats its subject with appropriate restraint, balancing an appreciation of historic engineering with respect for the people and events behind the original vessels.

A total of 2,088 pieces form a 61.5 cm long scale model at 1:300, built progressively from its solid hull to the bridge, masts and armament. Offset plate layers, stepped hull sides and specially shaped elements recreate the bow, stern and distinctive lines of the Pennsylvania class. The main gun turrets rotate, and the heavy barrels can be adjusted in elevation for varied display positions. Secondary guns, anti-aircraft stations, boats and carefully structured deck sections give the silhouette convincing depth.
